Jupiter, the planet of education and protection, is in pada (part) three of Mrigashira from May 14th to 30th 2025, the nakshatra whose myth depicts a pursuit driven by desire.
This important phase sees Jupiter moving into zodiacal Gemini, initially up to mid-October 2025 and altogether for the coming twelve months. After taking an earthy and grounded approach to knowledge over the last year, your mental horizons have expanded and this is an excellent time to pursue a new subject area. Jupiter’s goals of knowledge and security are channelled through Mrigashira’s love of the chase, and you are either a pursuer of ideas or followed by others who seek your specialist wisdom.
Pada three of Mrigashira relates to Libra navamsa, the chart of marriage and good fortune, where you pay attention to your relationships as well as big-picture ideas. The underlying Libra and Venus-ruled influence combines Jupiter’s big-picture outlook with a natural curiosity about people, and this may be a good time to study alongside a partner. You may meet somebody new in a classroom situation, while you are travelling, or even on a spiritual retreat.
There is a romantic quality to expanding your mind, and you and your partner also allow each other a level of personal freedom. Jupiter sitting between the fiery influences of the Sun and Mars through this whole transit also makes a powerful and adventurous combination, where you have to study hard to earn your guru status. A teacher figure may push you hard, or you initially find a new subject hard work before getting fully into your stride.
