Mars, the planet of energy and competition, is in Leo from November 12th, 2026, to March 9th, 2027, an extended transit that includes Mars’s retrograde arc.

Mars in the sign of its friend, the Sun, has a confidence and assertiveness that sees you reaching for what you want and expressing yourself in style. Your flamboyant style adds a spark to any project, and you like to be noticed, so invest in your creativity and special skills or talents. You are an inspiration to people around you and may also champion somebody else’s efforts with a generous and protective attitude.

In retrograde motion from January 11th, Mars may see a project taking longer to complete, where frustration arises in this fiery sign. You want an immediate result but have to reconsider your plans and perhaps take an unorthodox approach. Avoid creating drama or trouble as a substitute for positive feedback, and find your own place in the spotlight.

Mars sits with expansive Jupiter up to January 24th, 2027, a powerful combination for energy and adventure. You have extra confidence and a daredevil streak that may kick-start an ambition that has remained on hold. Be careful of a cavalier approach at work, however, especially when you are attempting something new or in a different environment.

Your self-assurance carries you through, but you are also subject to burnout and impulsive behavior that can be self-defeating. Tension may also arise with a teacher or father figure, and you get into a dispute over your personal beliefs. Your energy and competitive spirit can be channeled into exercise, or yoga and meditation, where you have a fixed and unshakeable belief in your ability.
