This transit brings the end to Mars’s long transit through Cancer going back to October 2024 and sees your actions and decisions crossing an important line. Cancer and Leo, and Ashlesha and Magha, are sharply contrasting energies, and any planet moving through this ‘knot-end’ phase feels an adjustment, with a fated and unsupported quality. Mars is not comfortable with signing in Cancer, and the first half of this period up to June 6th may find you reluctant to assert yourself unless you are motivated or perhaps your security is threatened.
Mars in Ashlesha, the Serpent Nakshatra, gives you awareness of undercurrents in people and atmospheres, but try not to be too sensitive or see a slight where none was intended. Moving through the Gandanta zone is a shadowy period before Mars emerges in showy, flamboyant Leo-Magha, seeking praise and attention. This is a more natural mode for Mars, but the issue remains of achieving energetic poise and not going too far in demanding recognition. It’s not yet time to push a new ambition, but to test the water and wait until you are sure the setting is going to support you.
Mars in aspect to radical Rahu through this whole transit adds a further restless and unpredictable quality to your actions, but be careful of getting fixated on your goal. A sudden burst of anger may also arise if you are frustrated. You are rewarded for taking an adventurous approach, however, where you break out of a stalemate and find a new way forward.
