Jupiter, planet of faith and philosophy, is in the first pada of Dhanishtha March 4th to 20th, the nakshatra which stretches across the signs of Capricorn and Aquarius.
Pada one of this asterism relates to Leo in the relationship and spirituality Navamsha chart, which brings an underlying grandeur and sense of drama to offset some of the limitations of Jupiter in Capricorn. You can be bolder and more demanding of yourself and put a sense of theatrics into your routine that makes a welcome change.
Sometimes you need to make a statement and stand out from the crowd, and now you have a confidence and decisiveness that inspires others to follow you. There is still a big emphasis on careful, tried-and-trusted methods, but a little flair can create opportunities and make you more attractive and investible.
Dhanishtha is ruled by the Ashta (eight) Vasus, which are the auspicious wealth-givers in Vedic mythology, so there is promise of prosperity and reward too when you follow the right path. This nakshatra’s Shakti, or special gift, is ‘To Bestow Wealth and Fame’, and Jupiter is also the planetary ruler of prosperity, so increasing your earning capacity has great potential.
Jupiter is joined in Dhanishtha at this time by Mercury, planet of commerce, so creating contacts and using media is a useful part of your strategy. Take a business opportunity on its own merits and be prepared to stay in for the long term.
This asterism is also famous for its association with music, and its symbol The Drum shows a rhythmic pulse which can break you out of routine. The underlying Leo quality gives you a desire to perform, where you set the tempo and lead from the front.
