2 Conjunctions This Month

Mercury, the planet of the mind, is in conjunction with the light-giving Sun in Cancer from July 16th to August 17th, 2025.

Sun and Mercury begin at opposite ends of Cancer in this extended transit, with Sun in Pushya and Mercury in Ashlesha, though Mercury is retrograde from July 18th. The two planets approach and come together exactly on August 1st, which is a turning point for your decision-making. Sun and Mercury are planetary enemies, but they also create Budhaditya Yoga, a combination of study, speech, and business, and you have an opportunity to combine their strengths.

You have pride invested in your communication and identify closely with an idea, subject, or commercial venture. In Cancer, you think and speak through your emotions and though your ideas are heavily influenced by your passing moods, you also have a reliable instinct for what is popular. Try to think longer-term remain rational, and don’t give an answer based purely on how you feel in the moment. Mercury and the Sun are also hemmed between the spiritual influences of Jupiter and Ketu through this whole transit, giving you extra intuition and a naturally otherworldly approach.

You can put fine feelings into words, and people also come to you for sympathy when you seem naturally to understand.  You may be trying to express a subtle or unusual idea, and certainly, this transit gives you a flair for psychology, where Mercury has great insight, and the Sun is generous and supportive.
