Mercury, planet of the mind, comes together in Aquarius with the Sun, star of self-expression, from February 13th to March 15th 2026.
Sun is conjoined with Mercury all the way through its passage in Aquarius, which forms part of Mercury’s extended stay in this sign, including its retrograde phase from February 27th. Together, these planets create conditions for study and clear communication, in the form of Budhaditya Yoga, a combination of general intelligence and business skill. You can put this time to your advantage by bringing people together, creating contacts, and making a smart, mutually helpful commercial plan.
The Sun is not at its most comfortable in Aquarius, and you may need to put aside a personally-driven ambition and work for a wider collective effort. Aquarius’s fixed quality can see you with a stubborn and rigid outlook, and you risk losing input from others if you don’t listen to all points of view. Mercury functions well in this sign, however, where you look for solutions with an idealistic quality, and end up with lasting results. This transit also takes in two eclipses, the Solar event of February 17th, and the Lunar eclipse of March 2nd, and both days affect the Sun and Mercury directly.
Your thinking may become very personal at both these times, and you see an issue from a subjective standpoint, with the possibility of tension and anxiety. Don’t identify too closely with your opinions, and instead, be open to experiment. It may be useful to have a friend to confide in who gives you a wider outlook and lets you see a question in perspective.
