Mercury, planet of intellect and communication, crosses the Gandanta zone between fire and water signs and nakshatras from March 22nd to April 14th 2024.
This phase, which translates to a ‘knot-end’, stretches from the final pada of Pisces-Revati through the first of Aries-Ashwini and has a quality of instability and karmic experience. Mercury is also in its retrograde arc from April 1st and reverses back through this Gandanta area once again by May 7th.
This extended motion makes it doubly difficult to commit and see the future at this point, and decision-making is uncertain when you need a calculated risk that events will turn out your way. A deal may not work out as advertised when you look into the fine print, or else you can’t benefit straight away from a contact or introduction.
Friends may also be acting strangely, as someone pulls out of an agreement which you believed was firmly set in motion. Take your time, and if a project or ambition is really worth the effort, then waiting a few days will play in your favour.
Mercury sits with shadowy Rahu in Pisces-Revati, up to March 25th, and gives you colourful ideas, and perhaps a hidden doubt or fear. You are creative and daring, but may overthink any proposition where you suspect a hidden catch.
Moving into Aries-Ashwini after March 25th, Mercury gives you courage for quick, decisive decision and to put your ideas out into the world.
Mercury joins philosophical Jupiter in Aries at this point, which gives you added confidence and a sense of humour, but still, be on the alert for any abrupt change of plan.
