October will feature 16 planetary transits, including eclipses, retrogrades and conjunctions.
Here are some highlights!
Oct 02
The Total Solar Eclipse of October 2nd arrives with the Sun and Moon closely conjunct mystical Ketu in Virgo-Hasta. A plan or ambition that has faded in importance lately may finish decisively at this point, or else the matter is taken out of your hands by a quirk of fate. Sudden change can be stressful, and solar eclipses especially create an intensity where you are overwhelmed by a concern that’s out of all proportion to reality. So pace yourself, especially if you are feeling restless or irritable on the day.
Oct 3 to Dec 27
Saturn, the planet of boundaries and karma, is pada (part) four of Shatabhishta, from October 3rd to December 27th. This initial retrograde transit sees Saturn back in the area it went through in early March and early April this year, and you face an issue from that time once again. A matter that requires effort, professionalism, and forward planning doesn’t simply go away and you try again with a new approach. Progress may bring initial frustration and take longer than you have planned, but it’s worth the extra time and work to get it right.
Oct 9, 2024 to Feb 4, 2025
Jupiter, the planet of philosophy and protection, is retrograde in Taurus-Mrigashira from October 9th, 2024 to February 4th, 2025. Since May 1st, 2024, Jupiter has moved through almost the whole sign of Taurus, where it has stretched your horizons and brought a once-in-twelve-year opportunity to travel, find spiritual knowledge, and make a good relationship with a teacher. These options have come and gone quickly so far, however, and you may not have realized exactly what freedom is open to you.
