Jupiter, planet of protection and expansion, moves in retrograde motion, back into Bharani nakshatra pada (part) one, in the sign of Aries, from October 31st until November 26th 2023.
This is the area Jupiter transited through from late June to early July of this year, and an opportunity from that time may reappear now, fully formed, and allow you to take advantage. Perhaps the conditions were not right, or a piece of good fortune back then took you by surprise, but now you are in a position to strike.
Jupiter is also free of the influence of Rahu, planet of desire, which previously gave you a materially driven and occasionally obsessive attitude to knowledge. You still have Aries’s fiery impulse, but in a purer and more openly spiritual way.
Bharani pada one relates to Leo navamsha, the underlying chart of marriage and spirituality, which gives your personal philosophy a grand and theatrical quality. Jupiter here is channelled in a doubly fiery way that relies on a kind of intuitive certainty, where your creative gifts are enlivened and you have a flair for the arts and drama.
The first nakshatra pada is also naturally associated with the Dharma quality, or Right Action, where you follow spiritual truth in alignment with your highest principles.
Bharani’s name means ‘She Who Bears’ and is associated with giving birth – in the sense of having children, but also of making plans and creative ideas, where Jupiter’s broad-ranging quality finds you with new concepts and horizons to pursue.
The Shakti of this asterism, ‘the power to carry things away’, describes a soul journey, or transformative experience, and a leap of faith sits naturally with Jupiter’s perpetual quest for meaning.
